Optimum Nutrition Oats & Whey, A True Protein Meal Replacement?

Optimum Nutrition recently expanded it’s natural protein supplement range to include Natural Oats and Whey. This new supplement is basically oats ground up real fine mixed with Optimum’s natural whey protein formula. This is pretty sweet if you ask me, this is what I call a “real” meal replacement shake. I mean, it’s literally the same as having some instant oatmeal and a whey shake. This could easily make a good breakfast replacement or between meal shake. Unlike a lot of other weight gainers, it’s very low in sugar and has a good amount of complex carbs that come from “real” food. And if they doesn’t get you thinking, it’s part of Optimum’s natural range meaning it has no artificial flavors, colors, additives etc etc. Not bad.
This is just another step forward for Optimum Nutrition who still seem to be leading the way in the protein supplement industry. Their natural range includes Natural 100% Whey Gold Standard, Natural 100% Whey Gold Standard and Natural Pro Complex.
Note to readers, next week I’ll be doing a taste test of Dymatize’s new economy protein powder, Elite Gourmet Whey. This could be another top protein powder in the works, nutrition wise it stacks up pretty good and with the economy the way it is, we could all do with some cheaper supplements!
